Return policy

At Wit & Wave, we want you to love your new garden flag. We want your neighbors to be jealous. But we also know that sometimes things happen. Here is how we handle it.

1. The 30-Day Window

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return or report an issue.

2. Damaged, defective, or the wrong item?

Did the mailman play football with your package? Or did we accidentally send you a cat flag instead of a dog one? Don't worry. We will correct it immediately.

  • You do NOT need to return the item.
  • Just email us contact@witandwave.com with your order number and a clear photo of the issue.
  • We are happy to provide you with a complimentary replacement or promptly issue a full refund.

3. "Change of Mind" Returns

Since we print our designs to order, we have specific guidelines for returns if you simply changed your mind:

  • Standard Designs: If you ordered a standard design and decided it’s not your vibe, you can return it in its original condition (unused/unwashed). You are responsible for the return shipping cost. Once we receive it, we will refund the item price (excluding shipping).
  • Personalized/Custom Items: Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for items that have been customized with your name, photo, or specific text (unless they arrived damaged/defective). We can’t exactly resell a flag that says "Welcome to Sarah’s Garden" to someone named Mike.

4. How to Start a Return

To start a return or report an issue, please contact us at contact@witandwave.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package.

5. Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method (PayPal/card) within 3-5 business days.

Because our garden flags are custom-printed and made-to-order just for you, please review our shipping guidelines below to understand our production and delivery timelines.

1. Order Processing & Production Time

All products at Wit & Wave are made-to-order to ensure the highest quality. This means your flag is printed, quality-checked, and safely packed only after your order is placed.

Daily Cut-Off Time:

  • Orders placed before 12:00 PM (Noon) EST will begin processing the same business day.
  • Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST, or on weekends and holidays, will begin processing the following business day.

Standard Processing Time: 2 – 4 business days (Monday – Friday).

Peak Seasons & Holidays: During high-demand periods (such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring/Summer gardening seasons, or Mother's Day), processing may take 4 – 7 business days.

*Note: Production time is completely separate from shipping time.*

2. Shipping Estimates & Delivery Times (United States)

We partner with reliable domestic carriers including USPS, DHL eCommerce, UPS, and FedEx to ensure your order arrives safely.

Once your package leaves our fulfillment facility, the estimated delivery windows are as follows:

On average, you can expect to receive your beautiful garden flag within 5 – 11 business days from the date the order was successfully placed, calculated as:
Total Delivery Time = Processing Time + Transit Time

3. Order Tracking

As soon as your order ships, we will send a confirmation email containing your tracking number and a direct tracking link.

  • Please allow 24 – 48 hours for the carrier to update the tracking status in their system.
  • If your tracking status has not updated after 5 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please reach out to us at contact@witandwave.com

4. Address Corrections & Order Cancellations

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.

Modifications/Cancellations: Because we strive to process orders quickly to meet our cut-off times, you must email us at contact@witandwave.com within 12 hours of placing your order to request any changes or cancellations.

If your order was placed before the 12:00 PM EST cut-off and has already entered the printing/production stage, we cannot modify the shipping address, alter the flag design, or cancel the shipment.

5. Delays, Lost, or Damaged Packages

  • Carrier Delays: Occasionally, carrier delays can happen due to extreme weather, regional logistical backlogs, or holiday rushes. Wit & Wave is not legally responsible for these external delays, but we will always do our best to help you track down your package.
  • Damaged or Incorrect Items: If your garden flag arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, please send a photo of the item along with your order number to contact@witandwave.com within 7 days of delivery. We will gladly send a free replacement.
  • Stolen/Missing Packages: If your tracking info shows "Delivered" but you cannot find your package, please check with neighbors, your building manager, or your local post office before contacting us.

Do you ship internationally?

=> Currently, Wit & Wave focuses exclusively on serving the United States market to ensure the fastest delivery times and highest service quality.

Will my multiple items ship together?

=> To get your items to you as fast as possible, orders containing multiple items or different product categories may occasionally be shipped in separate packages from our fulfillment centers. You will receive tracking numbers for each package.
