Return policy
At Wit & Wave, we want you to love your new garden flag. We want your neighbors to be jealous. But we also know that sometimes things happen. Here is how we handle it.
1. The 30-Day Window
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return or report an issue.
2. Damaged, defective, or the wrong item?
Did the mailman play football with your package? Or did we accidentally send you a cat flag instead of a dog one? Don't worry. We will correct it immediately.
- You do NOT need to return the item.
- Just email us contact@witandwave.com with your order number and a clear photo of the issue.
- We are happy to provide you with a complimentary replacement or promptly issue a full refund.
3. "Change of Mind" Returns
Since we print our designs to order, we have specific guidelines for returns if you simply changed your mind:
- Standard Designs: If you ordered a standard design and decided it’s not your vibe, you can return it in its original condition (unused/unwashed). You are responsible for the return shipping cost. Once we receive it, we will refund the item price (excluding shipping).
- Personalized/Custom Items: Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for items that have been customized with your name, photo, or specific text (unless they arrived damaged/defective). We can’t exactly resell a flag that says "Welcome to Sarah’s Garden" to someone named Mike.
4. How to Start a Return
To start a return or report an issue, please contact us at contact@witandwave.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package.

5. Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method (PayPal/card) within 3-5 business days.
Exceptions / Non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Sale items (marked as final sale)
- Personalized products (as mentioned above)
Shipping
1. Where We Ship
Currently, Wit & Wave ships to addresses within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii).
2. How Long Will It Take?
Since we print many of our flags specifically for you, delivering your order to your doorstep involves two steps:
Processing Time: This is the time we need to print, quality-check, and pack your order.
- Standard processing time: 2–4 business days.
- Note: During peak holidays like Christmas, this may take up to 5-7 business days.
Shipping Time:
Once your order leaves our warehouse, the carrier takes over.
Standard Shipping: 5–8 business days.
Total Delivery Time = Processing Time + Shipping Time. (Expect to see your new flag waving in about 7–12 business days).
3. Shipping Rates
- Standard Shipping: $4.99 (flat rate for orders under $50).
- Free Shipping: We offer FREE Standard Shipping on all orders over $50!
4. Tracking Your Order
As soon as your package is scanned by the carrier, we will email you a tracking number.
- Please allow 1-2 days for the tracking information to update in the carrier's system.
- If you haven't received a tracking number within 5 days of ordering, please examine your spam folder or holler at us at contact@witandwave.com.
5. Incorrect Address
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Wit & Wave is not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrectly provided address. If a package is returned to us due to an address error, the customer may be responsible for the cost of reshipping.
6. Lost or Stolen Packages
While we hope this never happens, Wit & Wave is not responsible for packages that are marked as "Delivered" by the carrier but are missing. Please ensure you have a secure location for delivery. However, if your package is lost in transit (not marked delivered), please contact us, and we will do our best to help you locate it or file a claim.
